Chapter 945 of the Codified Ordinances addresses the specific duties of the Shade Tree Commission.
The commission’s general responsibilities are to provide leadership in the selection and establishment of trees planted in the public right-of-way. It is also a liaison to Village residents in the proper care, maintenance and removal of trees within Village rights-of-way.
Ottawa hosted the Tree City U.S.A. event on Wednesday, April 21, 2010. The event was very successful with over 200 participants from around Northwest Ohio. Pictured above is Ottawa's Shade Tree Commission.
